PRODUCT LIABILITY

The firm’s product liability practice is both well-established and varied.  For over 35 years Lombardi, Loper & Conant attorneys have provided representation to manufacturers, importers and distributors of automobiles and automotive equipment, forklifts, industrial equipment and consumer products in connection with personal injury, wrongful death and economic damage claims.

Members of the firm have handled or tried a wide range of product liability claims, ranging from relatively straightforward personal injury and Lemon Law cases to complex catastrophic injury, design defect and crashworthiness cases.

In addition, two of the firm’s senior partners successfully defended a purported national class action that alleged a design defect in over 200,000 automobiles, resulting in the published opinion of the California Court of Appeal, Osborne v. Subaru of America, Inc. (1988) 198 Cal.App.3d 646, that is widely cited by defendants in class action litigation.
