 Matt Conant Products Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Wrongful Death Mr. Conant has arbitrated or mediated more than 100 disputes, as a member of the Alameda County Arbitration Panel and of the Contra Costa County EASE Program and in private practice. In his more than 20 years as a trial attorney, Mr. Conant has specialized in product liability claims involving consumer products, in general liability litigation and the litigation of professional liability claims. In addition to those areas, he has extensive experience in construction litigation, where he has been involved in the resolution of disputes regarding the liability of architects and engineers, real estate developers and general and subcontractors. Mr. Conant has handled a number of catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims as a trial attorney and he developed a particular expertise in transportation industry liability suits. Fees $250 per hour (as of January 1, 2000). This fee is shared equally by the parties unless the parties have made another arrangement among themselves. There are no additional administrative charges. A deposit of $550 is to be paid two weeks prior to the mediation or arbitration hearing date. There is a 10-day cancellation policy. If the parties cancel the proceeding fewer than 10 days before its date, the $550 deposit will be forfeited.
