Ralph Lombardi Professional Liability And Malpractice, Insurance Coverage And Bad Faith, Product Liability, General Liability Mr. Lombardi has more than 15 years of experience as a mediator and arbitrator and more than 35 years of experience as a trial attorney. He has been involved in the resolution of numerous disputes, many of them involving large loss liability and product liability suits, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and professional liability suits. Mr. Lombardi has served as a Judge Pro Tern for the Contra Costa County Superior Court and as a Settlement Commissioner for the Alameda County Superior Court. He brings to his work as a mediator and arbitrator more than 35 years of experience as a trial attorney, involving the resolution of hundreds of disputes through mediation or arbitration. He has litigated a wide range of civil matters, with particular experience in the fields of product liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, and medical malpractice. Mr. Lombardi has tried over 50 civil cases to verdict or judgment, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, crashworthiness and design defect product liability disputes and insurance bad faith lawsuits. His experience in appellate work has resulted in numerous published opinions by the California Courts of Appeal and by the California Supreme Court. Fees $350 per hour (as of January 1, 2007). This fee is shared equally by the parties unless the parties have made another arrangement among themselves. There are no additional administrative charges. A deposit of $700 per party is to be paid two weeks prior to the mediation or arbitration hearing date. There is a 10-day cancellation policy. If the parties cancel the proceeding fewer than 10 days before its date, the $700 deposit will be forfeited.
