Mr. Lanzone is a litigation associate whose practice areas include the defense of general liability, personal injury, product liability, and employment matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lanzone practiced construction law, financial services litigation, and appellate law. He has a comprehensive background in all aspects of the civil litigation process and has successfully drafted and argued dozens of motions and briefs. Before entering private practice, he clerked for the California Supreme Court and Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he drafted proposed rulings on a broad range of matters, including pleading challenges, discovery disputes, and motions for summary judgment/adjudication. Mr. Lanzone has also drafted over 20 habeas corpus orders that were unchallenged by the Attorney General or upheld on appeal, which ordered the release of unlawfully imprisoned inmates.
A bay area native, Mr. Lanzone attended Sonoma State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, summa cum laude. He received his Juris Doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the Thurston Society. Mr. Lanzone served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal and received a CALI award for Contracts.
