Lombardi, Loper & Conant, LLP is happy to announce that associate Taylor Pohle is joining our legal team!
Before joining the firm, Mr. Pohle represented the California Department Transportation (Caltrans). There, he defended Caltrans against allegations of dangerous conditions of public property, often opposing some of the more venerable plaintiff’s attorneys in the greater Bay Area. He tried three high-exposure cases to verdict in California Superior Court, two of which resulted in verdicts for Caltrans. Outside the courtroom, he positioned Caltrans to reach several favorable settlements, including facilitating the resolution of Liam Pappakostas v. State of California, a case having statewide and nationwide implications (Santa Clara County Case No. 113CV254101).
Originally from Sacramento, Mr. Pohle attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where he externed for the Honorable Consuelo M. Callahan, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel. In the classroom, he received two awards for his written advocacy: the Witkin Award for Appellate Advocacy and the CALI Award for Legal Analysis, Research & Writing.
